Terms & Conditions
These terms apply when you buy or use anything from Nuclei. Please read them before purchasing. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.
Who we are
Nuclei is a sole trader business based in England, trading from 5 Longmead, Hatfield, AL10 0AB, United Kingdom. You can reach us at hello@nucleibiology.co.uk.
What we sell
Nuclei sells written study notes and exam-style practice questions for A-Level Biology, mapped to the AQA 7402 specification. Products are digital and are delivered through this website. The description and price of each product are shown on its product page before you pay.
We are an independent business. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to AQA or any other examination board or school.
Orders and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include any applicable tax. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your card details. A contract between us is formed when we confirm your order by email. We currently sell to customers in the United Kingdom only.
Your licence to use the notes
When you buy, you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the materials for your own study, for two years from the date of purchase. You may download, print and annotate them for that purpose. Files you have already downloaded remain yours to keep.
You may not:
- share, resell, publish, upload or otherwise distribute the materials, in whole or in part;
- share your account or download links with anyone else;
- use the materials to create a competing product, or for commercial teaching, without our permission.
We retain all copyright and intellectual property in the materials. Copies may be individually marked so that a shared file can be traced back to the account that downloaded it. If you breach this licence we may terminate your access without refund, and we reserve our right to pursue infringement.
Refunds and cancellation
Digital purchases carry a statutory right to cancel, and there are circumstances in which that right ends early. This is set out in full in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it. You must be at least 16 to create an account; if you are under 18, please make sure a parent or guardian is happy for you to purchase.
Availability
We aim to keep the site and your purchased materials available continuously, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access — maintenance, technical faults and third-party outages happen. If access is interrupted for a prolonged period we will restore it as quickly as we reasonably can. We recommend downloading your notes so you have your own copy.
Where a product page describes content as forthcoming, that content is not part of what you are buying unless we say so explicitly on the page at the time of purchase.
Our responsibility to you
Our materials are study aids. They are prepared carefully against the specification, but we cannot and do not guarantee any particular exam grade or outcome.
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, and because these are consumer purchases, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the product concerned. We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable at the time of purchase.
You always have statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 — digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your purchase is the one published when you bought. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.
Complaints
If something has gone wrong, email hello@nucleibiology.co.uk and we will reply within two working days. We would always rather fix a problem directly than have you go elsewhere.
